Our New Cattery

We are delighted to announce that the Victorian State Government is supporting our new cattery with a $50,000 grant.  Maree Edwards MP visited us at the shelter to make the announcement.

Our existing cattery is not compliant with the required standards.  It is hot in summer and cold in winter.  We have begun planning for a new facility to be built.  We think we will need around $150,000 in donations and grants for this to happen.  If you are able to help, even with a small donation, please click on the donate button on this page and mark your donation For the Cattery.  If you are able to help we would be very grateful.

Fundraiser for the MAAW Cattery

Volunteer Charles Young and his friends got together to host a beautiful lunch to raise money for MAAW’s new cattery.  They had a beautiful day and a great lunch and ended up raising a wonderful $2,200.  Thank you Charles!  Here are some pics of Charles and his fabulous food!

Donations for our New Cattery Needed

We are seeking donations and bequests for our new cattery.  Our existing cattery is not compliant with the required standards.  It is hot in summer and cold in winter.  We have begun planning for a new facility to be built.  We think we will need around $50,000 in donations and grants for this to happen.  If you are able to help, even with a small donation, please click on the donate button on this page and mark your donation For the Cattery.  If you are able to help we would be very grateful.

This is the current facility.  You can see that it is not watertight or insulated.

Our cattery goal on the window of our Opportunity Shop. The target is $50,000. We started with small donations, then $2,000 on-line, then a wonderful $25,000 from the S R Stoneman Foundation and now an additional $2,200 from Charles Young’s fundraiser! Our target is getting closer.
