Maximus is no gladiator – more an intellectual. At nearly 11 years of age, Max (as he sometimes prefers) enjoys quiet times of contemplation. He is happy, though, to have head rubs and chin scratches while he muses on life in general. 

Max has lived with a small dog, but is wary of strange dogs as well as children. He is quite shy with new people but would love a quiet, stable home.
